2020 RAM 1500

The Ram 1500 is a staple truck on the automotive market, having carved numerous years of top-rated performance and capability needed to complete the toughest tasks. The continuation of this model into the 2020 year re-ignites the fifth generation of the model with more features, improved overall rig, and an impressive powertrain selection. Ram has integrated a great depth of customizability with the 1500, allowing for you to configure the model between seven different trim levels and great number of optional packages.

1500 Tradesman and HFE Trims
The 2020 Ram 1500 comes off the assembly line toting a solid list of features that are available with every trim model. The Tradesman takes the place as the baseline trim level, coming standard in the Quad Cab configuration that has a longer 6-ft, 4-in box. Ram also offers an optional Crew Cab configuration that houses a larger interior volume to the cab with a spacious rear row for passengers. The Crew Cab either transforms some of the length from the box house a shorter 5' 7" box or an optional longer 6' 4" box. The exterior of the 1500 Tradesmen features halogen lamps that activate automatically, tinted glass with acoustic laminated materials, convenient lights in the rear cargo box with a locking tailgate, and variable/intermittent windshield wipers. Other key features that caught our eye include push-button start with keyless entry, standard cruise control and air conditioning systems, and a full Uconnect infotainment system in a 5-inch touchscreen display with USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity. Ram also works hard to incorporate a large number of safety and security features with every 2020 model of the 1500. Some of these great safety features include electronic stability control with electronic roll mitigation and all-speed traction control, trailer sway control, rearview camera that is housed in the infotainment system, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The 1500 HFE is basically an identical trim model to the standard Tradesman, but brings in a few extra features such as interior/exterior design accents, and larger 20-inch wheels.

1500 Big Horn Trim
As you progress higher in trim level, Ram adds in more features and enhancements to improve the overall driving experience. With the Bighorn trim, we see fog lamps added in as well as rear cupholders that fold out with the center armrest, locking glovebox, improved cloth bench seating with split-folding functionality, leather-wrapped steering wheel, additional under-seat storage options, and additional interior ambient lighting fixtures. The Uconnect multimedia system receives some enhancements as well, with steering wheel-mounted controls and optional packages to add in Sirius XM radio and various support functions.

1500 Rebel Trim
Ram further extends the capabilities of the 1500 pickup with the Rebel trim, equipping the truck with a multitude of features and systems to enhance the off-road functionality. The underbody is fastened with sturdy skid plates that help protect the vital systems and components of the 1500. An electronically locking rear differential, tuned shock absorbers, on/off-road tires, and improved axle ratio help provide enhanced traction in tough terrain conditions. The Rebel also totes some additional features such as tow hooks in the front, a Class IV hitch receiver for towing heavy loads, vinyl/cloth interior upholstery set, and a power-sliding rear window.

1500 Laramie Trim
The Laramie trim steps up to the plate to offer an even more comfortable and convenient driving experience. The infotainment system receives some positive augmentations, with a larger 8.4-inch touchscreen display and smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There also is a premium audio system that gets brought in as well as a handy 115-volt power outlet that can power small appliances. The front seats are covered with leather upholstery that has both heated and ventilated functionality. We also see additional safety features that are purposed towards driver assistance added in, such as Ram's forward-collision warning system that pre-emptively tries to mitigate crashes with automated sensors and emergency braking.

1500 Longhorn and Limited Trims
These final two trim levels elevate the 2020 Ram 1500 into a luxury vehicle; the interior receives premium leather upholstery while the infotainment can be enhanced to a 12-inch touchscreen display that features dual-screen capability. The bed receives a power tailgate release and spray-in bedliner that is perfect for protection against the elements and frequent use while on the job. The 20-inch wheels offer a smooth driving experience while the optional adaptive cruise control further streamlines the driving experience.

The 2020 Ram 1500 hits the roadways, more capable and convenient to operate than ever. Ram works hard to integrate an immense depth of technology and modern features with the 1500 that allow for enhanced functionality. We see great customizability coming with the 1500 allowing for you to outfit the pickup to fit the job and environment you plan on driving through.
