Trim Levels of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator

Trim Levels of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator

By Hendrick Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

The all-new Jeep Gladiator has arrived, and it is giving truck shoppers something to think about! The Gladiator is essentially a four-door Wrangler Unlimited with a five-foot cargo bed and superior towing and hauling capability. Seeing as how this is a Jeep, the off-road credentials of the Gladiator are spectacular and have features like 33-inch all-terrain tires and a disconnectable front stabilizer bar that is available on the Rubicon trim. Even if you forgo the off-road and decide to cruise around town, the Gladiator is perfectly livable as it drives as smoothly on the pavement and comes with fun features such as a  removable top and doors. The 2020 Jeep Gladiator comes with four different trim levels, so continue reading as we break down each one.

Engine

All versions of the Gladiator come with a 5-foot bed and a 3.6-liter V6 engine that rips out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Four-wheel-drive comes standard as does a six-speed manual transmission, though an eight-speed automatic is optional. The Gladiator has a best-in-class towing ability as it can haul 7,650 pounds with a payload capacity of 1,600 pounds.

Sport

The base-level Sport starts things out with 17-inch steel wheels, all-season tires, crank windows, manual door locks and mirrors, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, and cruise control. Tech features for the Sport include an eight-speaker audio system, a 5-inch central display, Bluetooth, voice control capability, and a rearview camera. Also included is a convertible folding soft top, removable doors and a fold-down front windshield. You also get Class II bumper hitch with a 4,500-pound tow capacity, anti-sway trailer control, and a combination four-and-seven-pin trailer plug.

Sport S

The next level is the Sport S, which adds more power and luxury features such as alloy wheels, power windows, power door and tailgate locks, heated power mirrors, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. The Sport S has a multitude of options, including a Technology Group with a 7-inch touchscreen, satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto capability. Also included is a Cargo Group with a rail-based cargo management system and a 115-volt power outlet in the bed, and a Safety and Advanced Safety Group that has all the latest driver safety aids.

Overland

With the Overland comes more style and function features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, body-color wheel arches, side steps, and tinted rear side and rear windows. Also coming standard are automatic headlights, LED ambient footwell lighting, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 7-inch infotainment system.

Rubicon

The most off-road ready Gladiator is the Rubicon which has a different transfer case that provides a lower crawl ratio, fenders with increased clearance, larger 33-inch all-terrain tires, locking front and rear differentials, and an electronically disconnectable front stabilizer bar. Also standard are fox shock absorbers, and body-protecting rock rails and skid plates. The Rubicon, as well as the Overland, can get hardtops that match the body color.
