Trim Levels of the 2019 Jeep Wrangler
There are two varied body style configurations available for the 2019 Jeep Wrangler, giving this midsized SUV both four-door and two-door option. The four-door configuration is available at all five of the Wrangler's trim levels, while the two-door configuration comes as an option for three of them; the Sport trim, Sport S trim, and Rubicon trim.
Â
The Sport trim, most basic of the line and least outfitted trim overall, starts things off by coming equipped with a set of features that will make it seem much more than basic. The Sport trim's standard set of equipment includes a fold-down windshield, one-piece folding rear seating, air conditioning, 17-inch steel wheels, fog lights, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, height-adjustable driver seat with two-way lumbar support, full-size spare tire, tow hooks, cloth upholstery, a driver information display, and skid plates. The Sport trim also comes with an included five-inch Uconnect touchscreen that features an eight-speaker audio system, an auxiliary audio jack, a rearview camera, Bluetooth, a rearview camera, and a USB port. The Wrangler Sport also gains air conditioning, an enlarged gas tank, and a rear 60/40 split folding seat when using the four-door configuration.
Â
The next step up the list of available trims will bring you to the Sport S trim level. The Sport S starts with the standard equipment of the Sport trim and then builds onto it with remote locking and unlocking, sun visors equipped with vanity mirrors, heated-power mirrors, alloy wheels, automatic headlights, leather-wrapped steering wheel, an alarm system, and air conditioning no matter the door configuration.
Â
Another step up the trim list will bring you to the halfway point, which features the Sahara trim. The Sahara trim is one of the two available to the Wrangler that can only utilize the four-door configuration. But while this may entail that there is technically one less option available for the Sahara, it's able to make up for it by further building on the features of the Sport S trim to include smartphone integration, an additional USB port, seven-inch touchscreen, 18-inch alloy wheels, satellite radio bundled with an enhanced version of the Uconnect system, an enlarged driver information display, automatic climate control, exterior body-color painted panels, automatic headlights, and a 115-volt outlet.
The Sahara also has, for those who so desire, an option for a full-time four-wheel drive system that includes a lockable center differential.
Â
Taking things even further than the Sahara trim is the Moab trim.
The Moab trim level brings with it a limited-slip differential, 8.4-inch Uconnect system, full-time four-wheel drive, special badging, a body-colored hardtop, onboard navigation, painted exterior trim in black, nine-speaker Alpine sound system, keyless entry, unique black wheels, a steel front bumper, rear parking sensors, auto-dimming rearview mirror, tires outfitted for muddy terrain, rock rails, blind-spot monitoring, premium leather upholstery and LED headlights, fog lights, and taillights.
Â
The last available trim for the 2019 Jeep Wrangler is the off-road-focused Rubicon. The Rubicon's equipment begins with that which comes standard at the Sport trim level, and then sees the addition of more features aimed to make it the most capable off-road SUV available. The added features include 4-to-1 low range gearing, an additional USB port, 4.1 axle gearing, specialized off-roading tires on 17-inch alloy wheels, electronic front and rear lockable differentials, upgraded cloth upholstery, an M220 rear axle paired with a Dana M210 front axle, a steel front bumper, and a front roll bar that electronically disconnect.
Â
Several of the features that can be found as standard equipment at higher trim levels can also be made available as part of group packages or stand-alone options for the lower trim levels as well. Some of these optional features consist of a heated steering wheel, nine-speaker Alpine audio system, heated seating, remote ignition, and leather upholstery. Each trim level and configuration option also has the option to choose between high-quality hard- or soft-tops in either body-color or black options.
Â
The 2019 Jeep Wrangler's selection of trims have a lot to offer overall. And with the option of available upgrades and packages that bring more features to each trim level, how far you can personalize the trim level of your choice is only limited by the extent of your imagination.
