RAM Wins Truck of Year Award

    The results are in, and the 2019 Truck of the Year Award goes to the RAM 1500. This year's edition of the RAM fan-favorite features a revamped and unique design, while maintaining all of the features that have made the 1500 so popular for so many years. The innovative redesign features a overall weight reduction of nearly 225 pounds, matched by a new steel frame to improve handling and durability. Power is equally as impressive with the V-6 engine being rated at 130 pounder per foot of torque, a maximum payload of 2,300 pounds, and a max. trailer tow of 12,750 pounds. Inside this award-winning model is the Uconnect system fitted with a number of infotainment features to keep drivers informed and entertained on long drives everywhere.

       The newly designed RAM 1500 features a larger cab length than ever before, more cargo space than any competitor, five USB ports, and an innovative center console with 12 different storage configurations. Features inside the cab provide all the infotainment features you could need including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, integrated navigation system, 360-degree Surround View Camera, SiriusXM, 4G WiFi hot-spot capability. All of this controlled by a 12-inch touchscreen display which features split-screen capability for ultimate customization. The 2019 RAM 1500 also sports an impressive Harman Kardon audio system which features 19 speakers, 900-watt surround sound amplifier, 10-inch sub-woofer, and active noise cancellation.

    This powerful pickup is available in six different trim configurations: Tradesman, HFE, Big Horn, Rebel, Laramie, Longhorn, and Limited. Powering all trims is a Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 engine rated at 305hp and 269 pounds-feet of torque. There is an option on most trims (all except the HFE) which will upgrade you to a 5.7-liter V8 engine rated at 395hp and 410lbs-ft. of torque. Also available on most trims is four-wheel drive. Standard on all trims is an eight-speed automatic transmission, 18-inch steel wheels, and vinyl flooring and upholstery.

    There is no job too-big for the 2019 RAM 1500 with a maximum payload of 2,300 and max. trailer tow of 12,750.  The 1500 is the most comfortable ride we have ever seen on a pickup with new features like Frequency Response Damping shocks, class-exclusive air suspension, and larger 14.9-inch front brakes. The optional Off-road Package will help improve this already smooth ride with electronic locking rear axle, tuned shocks, suspension with one-inch lift, and Hill-start assist.

    With more than 100 available safety features, the RAM 1500 truly shines when it comes to keeping passengers safe. Adaptive cruise control features new stop, go and hold buttons to help assist in long drives. Parallel parking becomes care-free with ParkSense Parking Assist. Accident prevention is at an all-time high inside this year's award winner with features like LaneSense Lane Departure Warning-Plus, and Forward Collision Warning-Plus.
