Dodge Ranks in Top JD Power Ratings

Redesigned this year, the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study measures vehicle components that fail, features that can be difficult to use, hard to understand, or even simply don't work the way that owner wants or need the to.  The 2020 redesign of the study now bases the quality test of a 223-question batch that is broken down into nine categories: driving assistance, exterior, displays and controls, features, infotainment and new for 2020, climate, driving experience, powertrain, and interior. This is an industry benchmark for new-vehicle quality. Automakers apply what they learn from the study, as it in direct insight from the customers who are driving the vehicles, to make positive changes in the vehicles that you drive! The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study has been around for 34 years now and it examined problems that vehicle owners were experiencing in the first 90 days of owning their new 2020 model. The Initial Quality is determined by the number of problems experienced per 100 vehicles (PP100). The lower the score, the higher the vehicle quality. Initial Quality is incredibly important to the ownership experience, nobody wants to drive around a vehicle that makes them stress or fiddle with a million knobs and buttons as they are driving down the highway.

For the very first time ever, a domestic vehicle brand, more importantly, Dodge, ranked number 1 in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study! Dodge boasts a score of 136 PP100. Again, this is the very first time in the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study's history that a domestic brand ranks the highest and we are so excited that it is Dodge! J.D. Power also ranks plants and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles', Dodge's parent company, which produces the Dodge Journey was awarded the Gold Plant Quality Award!
